Kiddie Parties! I Love Them! 2011 Favs! January 14, 2012

Nothing gets me smiling more than designing for a child’s birthday party or other special event! I absolutely love it! Some of my best work comes from designing kid’s invitations. I think it’s the kid in me and plus they’re absolute, total fun!

So let’s visit the kid in me as I take you back through a few of my favorites from last year.

Of course I’ll start with my sons 4th birthday invites. Theme: Thomas & Friends. Designed to look like a ticket.

Then there’s my baby sister Angel’s Barbie Party! I love my baby sister dearly so I get super excited to design for her!

How adorable does a Tinkerbell party sound? Very, right? Take a peek at these uber cute invites I did for a friend of mines who’s little Julissa was turning 2!

Let’s get away from the girl parties for a second. This invite was one of my absolute favorite boy invites last year! Look closely! Can you see Jayden’s head on Buzz? It’s Jayden Lightyear!! Theme: Toy Story

Back to pink! I was excited to get a order for Strawberry Shortcake invites, I loved her as a child. For this theme, I did 2 designs and let mom chose which one she liked.

It’s A Jungle Out There! January 11, 2012

I enjoy every project I start but theres one celebration that I hold near and dear to my heart when it come to creating invitations and that’s my son Aubrion’s birthday! Last year his theme was Thomas & Friends.

I challenge myself every year to get more creative and come up with new and intersting ways to say it’s his birthday and he’s having a party. I also challenge myself to find a new place to host his party every year. This year his dad and I chose the Milwaukee Public Zoo to have his party. We actually chose it right after his birthday party last year. So what better theme to go with a zoo party then Go Diego Go and animal prints!!

So here are the supplies that I started with: Leopard & Zebra prints papers and Giraffe print ribbon.

 I knew I wanted his invites to be pocketfolds and so this is where I am:

I really do love them! These are no where near finished and I won’t be unveiling the finished product until after these have been mailed to our party goers. Sadly, his birthday isn’t until May but it’ll be worth the wait.

Hello world!

Hello everyone! My name is Monicka Butzin and I have been making invitations and providing various other event services for quite a few years now and it is only now that I have decided to take my business live. I am extremely nervous but also extremely excited to start this adventure.

I specialize in paper products such as invitations, programs and menus. Paper goods are my passion, I am however, not limited to just those things, I can plan and have planned an entire wedding.

I love the magical feeling I get when I am able to be a part of a special event in someone’s life, be it a wedding, birthday party, bridal shower, baby shower and everything in between.

I love it when my creativity and eye for detail come to life and I look forward to sharing my work with you!!
